Though selling clothes on Internet is not a new idea, it is the
first time for agnes b. agnes
b has this idea because it sells different products in different
countries. Through Internet, customers in Hong Kong can buy the products that
would only retail in France, vice versa.
The customers would be all the agnes b's customers that would browse the Internet.
The competitors would be all fashion brands that have similar target group and online shopping, for examples, izzue and abercrombie etc.
All the products's price will be a little bit cheaper than in the retail shops, that is about 10% discount as no fitting is available in the online store and the products sold are not exchangeable and refundable.
Advertisements will be put on every branches of agnes b all over the world and letters have been sent to all the electronic media to spread this service. Moreover, a press conference will be held on 15 May in Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hong Kong, to announce the grand opening of the online store.
Customers can only use credit card on the online store, the online store will email the customers once the transaction is completed and a receipt will also be sent out at the same time.
Products now on retail shops will be included in this project. What we need now are online customers and a website. A pre-project and post-project research would be needed to analyze the customer's willingness in browsing clothing websites, purchasing online, especially clothing, and the trend of online purchasing. A post-project research would be needed to analyze the publicity of the website, statistics of visitors and the common needs from our website.
Development would be first on the security of the website. The financial transaction would be highly sensitive to all consumers. A highly secured website protecting the financial transactions and privacy of information would give the customers and even our company to trade online.
A new department should be set up for this project, named Online Sales Department (OSD). OSD would be responsible for the maintenance of the website, online financial transactions, online customer services, sales activities and server maintenance.
The Online Services Department would be totally responsible the online business. The team for this project would be responsible for the setting up of the OSD and be the backup of OSD in the first year.
To make agnes b online, the main target is to initiate market on the Internet. It is presumed that there will be more than $100,000 income in the first two months and more than $200,000 income in agnes b online shopping per month after two months.
